What is included in the call-out fee
The call-out fee covers the engineer travelling to your property, diagnosing the fault, and the first hour of labour. If the repair takes longer, the engineer will quote an additional hourly rate which you approve before they continue.
Are there any hidden fees
No. The call-out fee is confirmed at booking. Parts are quoted separately on-site and must be approved by you on your phone before the engineer proceeds. There are no additional charges for evenings, weekends, or bank holidays on the standard rate.
How does the AI cost estimate work
When you describe your problem, our AI engine GoFIX analyses the symptoms and identifies the likely fault and parts needed. Based on typical repair costs for that fault, it provides an estimated total before you book. The actual cost may vary once the engineer inspects on-site.
What happens if the repair costs more than expected
If the engineer finds the repair will cost more than the initial estimate, they will explain the additional work and cost before proceeding. You approve any additional charges on your phone. If you decline, you only pay the call-out fee.
Do I pay upfront or after the repair
The call-out fee is paid at booking. Parts and any additional labour are paid after the repair is completed and you are satisfied with the work.
